Underprivileged students, orphans receive school supplies, funds

Thirty children received donations from the Kotak Kutip Dropbox 2023 community charity project during a handover ceremony at RBA Golf Club yesterday.

The project, initiated by the RPN Kampong Panchor Village Consultative Council (MPK Panchor) and Women Graduates Association of Brunei Darussalam (PSW), is an effort to reach out to orphans and less fortunate families to help with school supplies.

PSW President Hajah Hassanah binti Haji Hassan was the guest of honour. Also present were Acting Penghulu of Mukim Mentiri and Kampong Sungai Buloh Village Head Pengiran Haji Ismail bin Pengiran Haji Ibrahim and Managing Director of Umrah at JB Travel Agency Sdn Bhd Bolfadillah bin Bolghanikan.

Yesterday, donations also included contributions from RPN Kampong Panchor Village Head Haji Mohd Eddie Hardey bin Haji Ibrahim, family and friends of the MPK as well as JB Travel Agency and Aura Seri Bonda.

The Kotak Kutip Dropbox project began in 2010 with the official handover of the PSW dropbox to the MPK Panchor as part of PSW’s Pusaka Project, which focuses on the welfare of underprivileged families and students. – Lyna Mohamad
