Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque
There was a long queue of cars making its way to Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque (MSSBRPAD) in Kampong Madang to collect korban meat on Sunday.
Deputy Minister (Civil Service Governance) at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, the guest of honour, distributed meat to 20 underprivileged families residing in Kampong Manggis Madang.
The event began with Zohor prayer followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat read by the mosque’s Imam Muhammad Khaizuran Amali bin Haji Kamsani.
It continued with the guest of honour distributing meat to less fortunate families accompanied by Dikir Marhaban.
The event continued with mosque takmir committee advisors – Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Dato Paduka Ar Haji Idris bin Haji Abbas, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Said bin Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Setia Dato Paduka Haji Hasim, Pengiran Haji Ali bin Pengiran Maon and Chairman I Pengiran Haji Rambli bin Pengiran Haji Bunut – distributing meat to the public. The collection via drive through saw 350 people receiving sacrificial meat.

Kampong Sungai Bunga Village Consultative Council
Kampong Sungai Bunga Village Consultative Council (MPK Sungai Bunga) organised a korban ceremony at its tourism activity centre on Sunday. Three cattle were sacrificed for the event that saw 21 participants. Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Lawi bin Haji Lamat as Acting Penghulu of Mukim Kianggeh and Village Head of Kampong Subok was the guest of honour who distributed meat to the underprivileged residents of Kampong Sungai Bunga. – Rokiah Mahmud
Royal Brunei Police Force
Royal Brunei Police Force’s (RBPF) Islamic Religious Body celebrated Hari Raya Aidiladha with a korban ceremony recently.
Commissioner of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali, the guest of honour, distributed sacrificial meat at the event.
Seven cattle were sacrificed for the event that saw 49 participants.
The meat were distributed among 150 underprivileged residents of Mukim Gadong ‘A’ and Mukim Gadong ‘B’.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Dato Seri Pahlawan Sulaiman bin Alidin was also present. – Rokiah Mahmud
