    Underprivileged children receive school materials

The Executive Committee of the Ashabul Haliim Youth, Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque in Kampong Tungku handed over contributions from the group’s Tahaddu Tahabbu 6.0 programme at the Tungku Brunei Primary School, Cluster 1 yesterday.

Acting Director of Mosque Affairs at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri was the guest of honour.

Tahaddu Tahabbu 6.0 programme aims to glorify Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque while encouraging residents to visit the mosque.

It also serves to form a harmonious community, inculcate a sense of concern towards those in need and to help ease the burden of the underprivileged.

Contributions included schooling materials such as scientific calculators, workbooks and stationery contributed by the public.

Recipients comprised orphans from Tungku Brunei III Primary School and those listed as in need of assistance through schools around Mukim Gadong ‘A’.

The programme is the sixth edition organised annually.

The programme is conducting round two and is accepting public contributions of schooling materials until today. – Lyna Mohamad
