    Unauthorised storage ceases operations

The Planning Authority ordered an unauthorised storage facility in Kampong Kapok, Mukim Serasa to cease activities and bring down its building extensions.

The unauthorised storage facility had violated Section 23 (2), Town and Country Planning Act Chapter 248 by conducting activities and constructing extensions without planning permission.

The storage facility was built on a residential land unsuitable for industrial storage purposes. The illegal extension is built within building lines and used as a storage for building materials that is unorganised and hazardous.

The landowner complied with the Planning Authority’s order by discontinuing the activities, demolishing the illegal extensions and cleaning up the area.
