Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) held a special lecture to mark the new Islamic year of 1444 Hijrah at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences, UBD yesterday.
Organised by the Spirituality and Community Service Unit of the Student Affairs Division and the UBD Student Association (PMUBD), the lecture touched on the Hijrah journey of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), delivered by Associate Professor Dr Haji Abdurrahman Raden Aji Haqqi from the Faculty of Shariah and Law, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA).
UBD Vice-Chancellor Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle was the guest of honour.
The lecture also aimed to strengthen Islamic knowledge and showcase appreciation for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) for the formation of ‘insan syummul’, particularly among Muslim students who will be the next generation of leaders.
Ahmad Termizie bin Ahmad Baihakie led the recitation of Al-Quran verses and Executive Head of Religious and Spiritual of PMUBD Md Muaaz bin Haji Roslan led the recitation of Doa Selamat.
