Haji Abdullah Hanif bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Dinda Haji Saman, 65, received 1,154 votes, while Haji Mustapa bin Haji Masri, 61, received 222 votes for the position of Penghulu of Mukim Sengkurong at the mukim’s Community Hall in Kampong Jerudong yesterday.
Meanwhile, three votes were against, and 12 were spoilt. The candidates had to undergo a screening process.
The results will be submitted to the Board of Appointments, Discipline and Procedures for Mukim Penghulu and Village Head at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
