Siblings Wilney anak Seruji, 29, and his sister Waniza Raffiza, 19, have chosen Islam as their faith and recited the Syahadah at a ceremony at the Al Muhtadin Room, Darul Huda Building, Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) recently.
Assistant Director of PDI Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdul Kahar witnessed the conversion ceremony.
Wilney took the Muslim name Muhammad Zuhairie bin Seruji, while Waniza Raffiza is now known as Nur Zahira binti Seruji.
A Dikir Marhaban enlivened the event, and continued with the presentation of souvenirs by the guest of honour and concluded with a Doa Selamat.
Statistics showed that so far this year, 22 have converted to Islam, with 356 in 2021 and 436 converts in 2020.
