A student and an education teacher from Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College (MSPSBS) yesterday departed for Indonesia to participate in a camp and a forum.
Student Awangku Izat Ryan bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad Sufri and officer Haji Mohammad Zulfaisal bin Haji Omar Ali are set to attend the 5P Youth Camp in Genggalang Village, North Lombok from September 3-6 and the 5P Forum in Jakarta on September 7.
The camp provides a platform for participants from ASEAN countries to engage in discussions, voice opinions and learn from each other regarding United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The project also offers the youth an opportunity to meet and discuss the five pillars (5P) framework – people, planet, prosperity, partnership and peace – and engage in activities revolve around them.
Meanwhile, present to send off the delegates at Brunei International Airport were Acting Assistant Director of the Departments of Schools Pengiran Ali Shafie bin Pengiran Haji Abas as well as MSPSBS’ acting principal and teachers.
The Department of Schools coordinated the Sultanate’s participation in the events organised by the ASEAN Youth Organisation (AYO) in cooperation with the Youth Environment and Climate Change Organisation (ECCO) Foundation. – James Kon
