A two-day programme dubbed ‘Hijrah Getaway: Bekalan Hijrahku’ was conducted on July 6 and 7 which began at Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque in Kampong Tungku and concluded at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.
Acting Director of Mosque Affairs Department Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri was the guest of honour.
Seventy participants joined the programme comprising members of nationwide mosques youth.
The programme was organised by the nationwide mosque youth in collaboration with Mosque Affairs Department, Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque and Ash-Shaliheen Mosque, in conjunction with the Ilal Hijrah 1446 celebration.
Forum, religious lecture and Kenali Negara Kitani Explorace in Pekan Bangar, Temburong District were among the activities that were carried out.
Other activities included a community service programme, get-together at Sumbiling Lama Longhouse as well as handing over donations and basic necessities to eight Muslim convert families in the Temburong District. – Rokiah Mahmud
