Two COVID-19 patients passed away yesterday while there are three Category 5 cases needing treatment in the intensive care unit while five patients are in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and under close monitoring.
This was shared by the Ministry of Health (MoH) in its daily statement on COVID-19.
A total of 1,088 cases were declared recovered yesterday bringing recoveries to 165,204.
The COVID-19 vaccination coverage in the Sultanate continues to increase where 73.4 per cent of its population have received the third dose while 3.1 per cent were administered the fourth shot. Some 76 per cent of children aged five to 11 received two doses while 50.4 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 were administered the third shot.
