Twelve teams went head-to-head in the two-day End of Year Netball Fun Game 2022 last Sunday and Monday in the women’s and men’s categories at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex.
The event was co-organised by Syarafana Syaza binti Abdullah Samsudin and the Brunei Netball Association (BNA).
The competing women’s teams were Chillmix Alpha, Chillmix Bravo, Heathers, Lighting, SPSS Anchor and xShot, while the competing men’s teams were Green Legend, Mixed Up, Shockwave, SPSS Anchor, xShot and TNT.
The matches saw Siti Nur Zulaikha binti Gani awarded the Best Player, Nurul Najibah Jahirah binti Jeferi awarded the Best Defence and Nurul Atiqah binti Bini awarded the Best Shooter in the women’s category. The men’s category saw the Best Player award went to Ramlee bin Md Azmi, Best Shooter awarded to Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Haji Sheikh Edham, and Abdul Azim bin Haji Ahmad awarded for Best Defence.
The prizes were presented by Hajah Noor Monasalieana @ Suzie binti Haji Mohd Salleh.
The event’s objective was to bring netball players and enthusiasts together at the end of the year to enjoy the sport.
