Twelve foreign nationals were arrested and taken for further investigation during an operation by the Immigration and National Registration Department targeting several rented houses in Mukim Kilanas and Mukim Gadong ‘B’ recently.
Ten were believed to have violated Section 15(1), Chapter 17 of the Immigration Act, for overstaying in the country after their immigration passes had expired.
Meanwhile, two foreign nationals were believed to be working under a visitor’s pass. – Azlan Othman
