Residents in several villages in Tutong District, including Pekan Tutong, experienced water disruption yesterday after the Public Works Department (JKR) under the Ministry of Development detected a transmission pipe leak found under the Penanjong flyover.
According to the JKR, the affected areas include Pekan Tutong, Kampong Suran, Kampong Panchor Dulit, Kampong Panchor Papan, Bukit Bendera areas, Kampong Sengkarai, Tutong Camp area, Penanjong/Binturan Camp, Kampong Penanjong, Jalan Pengkalan Ajong and its surrounding areas.
The department carried out emergency repair works and deployed blue water tanks at several locations for affected residents. The locations include Tutong Hall, Tutong Camp, Binturan Camp, Kampong Penanjong Mosque and Kampong Pengkalan Ajong. – James Kon
