A Stroke Prevention Awareness and Rehabilitation Knowledge (SPARK) event was held at the Tutong District Senior Citizens Activity Centre (PKWE Tutong) yesterday.
The event, organised by a group of third-year medical students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), aimed to educate the public on stroke and reduce the risk of stroke by promoting physical activities among the elderly.
The programme included activities such as health screening and blood pressure check as well as quizzes. A stroke awareness talk focused on identifying and managing stroke symptoms was held.
Attendees also joined a light physical exercise session. – Fadley Faisal
