    Tutong dialogue highlights company’s contributions

    Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd (Brunei LNG) is committed to maintaining sustainable operations as a key contributor to the nation’s economy and development since its establishment 55 years ago, said Brunei LNG Human Resources, Real Estate and Facilities Manager Rezona Tajuddin during a muzakarah event for the Tutong District community.

    She also reinforced the significance of close collaboration with stakeholders to foster development and progress together, through active involvement in social and community initiatives aimed at further improving the quality of life for the people of Brunei Darussalam.

    The muzakarah event is part of the company’s efforts to strengthen relationships with the district’s community. It was a platform for clear and transparent communication to enhance collaboration with stakeholders as well as give a better understanding of the organisation’s achievements, operations and challenges.

    Brunei LNG staff members gave a presentation of the company’s journey over the past 55 years, highlighting the organisation’s role in the energy sector for Brunei Darussalam’s growth and progress, road safety measures, as well as social contributions.

    Other topics discussed at the event included the assurance of maintaining continuous operations for Brunei LNG and the dangers of encroachment around hazardous, restricted areas.

    Safety is the top priority at Brunei LNG and in consideration for employees commuting from as well as via Tutong, a road safety talk was also held in conjunction with the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

    The talk was led by the organisation’s road safety team and aimed to equip the community with the essential knowledge in keeping the roads safe.

    Through strict compliance with laws and regulations, Brunei LNG will continue to ensure the social welfare of the communities it operates in, with measures in place to protect the employees, contractors and surrounding communities from potential risks.

    Acting Tutong District Officer Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri attended as guest of honour along with Legislative Council members Yang Berhormat Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan and Yang Berhormat Chong Chin Yee.
