In a dedicated effort to support the community and create inclusive experiences, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) recently hosted a special preview of the BIBD Mega Karnival for almost 150 children from various local non-governmental organisations and educational institutions.

Held on November 13 at Bridex Hall, Kampong Jerudong, the preview offered children the opportunity to explore the Karnival’s activities before it officially opened to the public later that day.

Invited to the preview were children from the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei, Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA), Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam and the Learning Ladders Society, along with students from Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institu Tahfiz Al-Quran. The session allowed the children to enjoy the Karnival’s games, exhibitions and interactive activities in an environment designed to be accessible and accommodating.

BIBD staff and volunteers guided the children through the event, ensuring they could participate fully in a range of games, creative stations, and interactive experiences prepared for them. The initiative is part of BIBD’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility, reflecting its core values of inclusivity and support for people of all backgrounds, including those with special needs. The BIBD Mega Karnival, open to the public from November 13 to 17, features a wide variety of family-friendly activities, food stalls, live performances, and entertainment options for the whole community. The event is open daily from 10am to 10pm.
