The Sabre Brunei Travel Fair 2024 drew massive crowds to the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas yesterday even before the official opening. Eager travellers sought early-bird promotions and the best travel deals from participating travel agents and tourism authorities.

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications Ir Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof officiated the event, showcasing Sabre’s commitment to providing a platform for travel partners and travellers.

“We are delighted to host this annual travel fair,” said Sabre Travel Network Brunei Chairman Captain Sabirin bin Haji Abdul Hamid. “We extend our gratitude to our partners and travellers for their continued support.”

Following the inauguration, the guest of honour toured the fair, interacting with representatives from participating travel agents, financial institutions and tourism authorities.

Travellers were treated to a wide range of travel deals and packages, with many participating travel agents offering freebies, lucky draws and special deals. Travel consultants were kept busy attending to the long queues of travellers and the crowds are expected to continue throughout the two-day event. – Lyna Mohamad
