After being in and out of the pandemic measures last year, parents and children as well as teachers were happy to be back on school grounds yesterday to kick off the academic year of 2023.

Jigsaw Primary School Chief Executive Officer and Principal Helen Chin told the Bulletin, “We are glad that physical learning has resumed once again.

“Venturing into the new year, we hope that our students are excited to be back in school with all pre-COVID activities such as Sports Day and the End-of-Year Production resuming.

We look forward to a more successful year!”

Traffic congestion outside the junction leading to the school at Jalan Pasir Berakas was another indicator that school is back in session.

Meanwhile, parent of a Jigsaw Primary School student Pengiran Syed Addy Ammirul Ammar bin Pengiran Haji Adnan said, “The first day of school was hectic, as expected. The traffic was extra heavy, but the traffic guards did their best to make things run smoothly.

“It was a relief to see them direct the cars and ensure the safety of students. Overall, it was a successful start to the new school year.”

Student Adni Syazanani binti Ahmad Hanafi expressed her excitement by saying: “I am excited to be back in school, but as I am sitting for PSR this year, a feeling of nervousness has also kicked in.

“But I do hope for the best, and will focus on my studies to ensure I get the best results.”
