The 30th Consumer Fair and Trade Expo concluded yesterday with a grand finale where Hajah Suryani binti Haji Mahmud emerged as the grand lucky draw winner, taking home a brand-new Toyota Raize sponsored by NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd.
Hajah Suryani said that she had not anticipated winning the grand prize.
“I will keep the car for myself and drive it to work daily,” said the teacher.
NBT (Brunei) Sales and Marketing General Manager Muhammad Clovien bin Abdullah Timpoh and Beribi Sales Manager Muhammad Suhardi bin Mohd Amin presented the grand prize.
The second prize, an umrah package for two, was won by Khairunnisa Mustapa, while Siti Radeah Hasnan claimed the third prize, a state-of-the-art massage chair. Their victories capped off five days of bustling trade, business networking and entertainment, marking a milestone anniversary for Brunei’s largest fair.
This edition of the event saw a significant transformation, rebranding itself as a platform focused on fostering trade, business collaborations and economic diversification. The event also celebrated its 30th anniversary with an array of prizes, including 30 boxes of pizza, 100 pieces of fried chicken, 60 trays of eggs and 50 cartons of instant noodle, adding a festive touch to the celebrations.
Beyond the lucky draw, the 30th Consumer Fair and Trade Expo hosted thousands of visitors and featured numerous exhibitors, activities and performances. The introduction of the inaugural Consumer Fair Conference (CONFAC) 2025 and business matching events underscored the expo’s growing role as a hub for industry players to connect and collaborate. – Fadley Faisal
