    Top students receive awards

    Following the exceptional IGCSE and ‘A’ Level results achieved by Jerudong International School (JIS) students in 2024, 53 learners were awarded the Pearson Excellence Award.

    The Pearson Excellence Awards are presented annually by Pearson Education to students who achieve exemplary results across multiple subjects in their examinations. To qualify, students must have earned at least five subjects graded 7 or above (equivalent to A or A* grades) in IGCSE, or three subjects graded A or above at ‘A’ Level.

    This year, 53 students from JIS received the Pearson Excellence Award, including Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah with seven subjects graded 7 or above. For the ‘A’ Level category, four students received the Pearson Excellence Award for their outstanding results: Muhammad Afiq bin Abdul Rahman, Nidhi Kulkarni, Synyee Yeo and Yong Tsen Lim. Muhammad Afiq bin Abdul Rahman was a Ministry of Education (MoE) student at JIS and is currently a Sultan’s Scholar pursuing Mathematics at University College London (UCL).

    In the IGCSE category, 49 students received the Pearson Excellence Award. Rahmah Isa earned the award for achieving nine subjects graded 7 or above in her examinations.

    The following students received the award for achieving eight subjects graded 7 or above: Isaac Chang, Dhanushan Chinniah, Isla Hallam, Awangku Abdul Hadi Raiyan bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Osman and Claudie Teo.

    Students who achieved seven subjects graded 7 or above include Sai Ananya, Cherin Chikh-Ali, Imane Er-Rrahmani, Bertie Scott, Clare Lee, Mintong Li, Nigel Lim, Shin Khant Lin, Sara Ng, Muhammad Danish Luqman Saidin Hidayat, Lynn Tan, Jovan Tang and Chloe Yung.

    Those who achieved six subjects graded 7 or above are Ayden Zahari bin Abdul Hakeem, Soubhik Bandyopadhyay, Abdul Mateen El-Waliy bin Fakhruddin, Amber Goh, Ashley Lim, Syasya Ilyana Kiasatina binti Haji Mohamad Adnan, Muhammad Al Hakeem bin Haji Mohamad Sahraini, Jaey On, Camilia Ong, Duncan Schuller and Adrienna Yeo.

    Students who achieved five subjects graded 7 or above include Md Wali bin Alidi, Allyshasha Rani Alymashrol, Dominic Christian, Muhammad Muazzam bin Haji Elmi, Md Ilyas bin Haji Ilham Rohaidi, Marissa Koh, Maryam Safwa binti Mazini, Awangku Umar bin Pengiran Md Fakhrul Amiruddin, Alisha Dhaniyah binti Md Azmi Yusran, Saarah Rania Nasrul Muhaimin, Spandita Nayak, Jessy Ng, Dayangku Aman Zarina binti Pengiran Izad-Ryan, Ian Sia, Toby Stevens, Travis Tan, Grace Taylor and Mihikaa Vijay Shankar.

    Among the Pearson Excellence Award recipients, several are MoE scholarship students at JIS. The students include Md Wali, Md Ilyas, Allyshasha Rani, Maryam Safwa and Muhammad Al Hakeem.
