Top students feel blessed, thank teachers

Nur Aira Syaheerah binti Akup from the class of Sanah 8 Muthmir said she was delighted and felt blessed to be one of the three students to receive the Best Academic and Co-curriculum award for being among the best students in the school. She added that it serves as an added motivation to continue improving.

Fellow award recipient Nur Nadzirah Bariah Zahidah binti Haji Rabaee noted that she was able to achieve the results due to her own efforts as well as the efforts of her teachers.

They made these comments after 45 students and 12 teachers from Belait Arabic School received awards as part of the school’s annual prize presentation ceremony for academic excellence in Primary School Assessment (PSR) and Student Progress Examination (SPE) at the school’s surau yesterday. The ceremony was attended by Kampong Mumong Acting Village Head Haji Mohd Yusof bin Dulamin, who was welcomed by the school’s acting headmistress Pengiran Hajah Masniah binti Pengiran Hussin.

Islamic Studies Department officer in the Belait District Hazalina binti Dahlan, as well as students, teachers, parents and guardians were also present.

The acting headmistress and the guest of honour congratulated the students and teachers on their achievements in the past year.

The awards were handed out to the students who achieved high grades in the SPE, PSR, and individual subjects, as well as to the school’s teachers to celebrate their efforts in ensuring their students’ success.

The ceremony concluded with Selawat Nariyah and Zikir SubhanAllah performance led by the class of Sanah 6 students of the school.
