Nurul Hilmi bin Haji Rozali who emerged as the grand prize winner of the Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Aspirasi 5 rewards Campaign walked away with BND250,000.
“With the winnings, I can take my parents to perform umrah and I’m grateful for the opportunity. I will continue to save the rest of the winnings as that’s how I got here in the first place. BIBD Aspirasi is a great initiative and provides a very unique opportunity to anyone in the country to understand the value of saving. I hope my story will inspire others to do the same,” he added.
The 37-year-old, who had been joining the BIBD Aspirasi Reward programme since 2019, set aside a sum from his earnings as savings for the campaign.
“I didn’t even remember that I joined the programme this time around and when a BIBD representative called, I checked with them to make sure they got it right and Alhamdulillah, I actually won the draw,” Nurul Hilmi shared with the Weekend Bulletin yesterday. – Rokiah Mahmud
