Tomorrowland considers hosting festival in Thailand

BANGKOK (ANN/THE NATION) – Tomorrowland, the renowned Belgian music festival, has confirmed its interest in organising a world-class event in Thailand by 2026.

The company stated that they are currently conducting a thorough feasibility study to explore the possibility of hosting the festival in Thailand. While details regarding the date, time, and venue are still being finalized, Tomorrowland has expressed a strong interest in the Thai market.

In a statement to Billboard on March 29, Debby Wilmsen, Tomorrowland’s head of public relations, emphasised the company’s genuine interest in Thailand and their exclusive agreement with a Thai private sector partner to conduct the feasibility study together.

The study aims to assess whether hosting a Tomorrowland event in Thailand is feasible. While no official confirmation has been made regarding the event, Tomorrowland has expressed appreciation for the Thai authorities’ enthusiasm to welcome the festival.

If held in Thailand, it would mark the fourth time Tomorrowland has organised an event outside of Belgium.

Chai Wacharonke, spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, confirmed on March 29 that negotiations with Tomorrowland are ongoing. While an official contract agreement has not been reached, positive progress has been made, raising the possibility of Thailand hosting the music festival in 2026.

Chai emphasised the government’s commitment to transparency, stating that communicating potential positive developments to the public is essential, akin to standard business negotiations.
