Timor-Leste eyes future collaboration in key sectors

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor-Leste Bendito dos Santos Freitas, who is in the country on a three-day visit, in an interview during the sidelines of the tour at Daikyo Industrial Gas Sdn Bhd at Serambangun Industrial Area in Tutong District, expressed Timor-Leste’s interest of future collaboration with the Sultanate in various areas.

“My visit to Brunei is very important. It is very significant to meet with government officials, especially with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof to further strengthen our bilateral cooperation between both countries,” he said.

He added, “We also discussed future collaboration in economic cooperation human resources development, oil and gas, agriculture as well as health through business-to -business, government-to-government and people-to-people initiatives.

Daikyo Industrial Gas Hung Ah Hing and staff welcomed the Timor-Leste minister.

The Timor-Leste minister toured the site and signed a plaque.
