The Department of Councils of State received a delegation from Timor-Leste’s ASEAN programme for young and future leaders yesterday.
Ten members of the programme were given understanding of the country’s Legislative Council (LegCo), the Department of Councils of State as well as the participation of LegCo within the country and the international level.
The delegation also attended a dialogue session where they learnt how the LegCo approached current issues as well as discussed opportunities to explore cooperation. The visit concluded with a tour of the LegCo chamber.
Ambassador of Timor-Leste to Brunei Darussalam Abel Guterres accompanied the delegation. – James Kon
