Thye Ann Goldsmith Team has been crowned interim champion of the Lim Enterprise National League 2023.
The decision to name an interim champion was made following a match that needed to stop due to prevailing weather condition on Sunday at the New Village Mutual Aid Association’s Basketball Court in Seria.
Belait District Basketball Association Chairman Koo Kong Loi said, “In a show of good sportsmanship, Chicken King Fast Food agreed to have Thye Ann Goldsmith as the interim champion.”
Meanwhile, Tutong team and Unity team were placed third and fourth in the league as their matches concluded without incident.
Han Ming Kwang of Thye Ann Goldsmith was named MVP of the tournament, while Tutong’s Phoon Chung Siang was named MVP for the under-25.
Lim Enterprise Director Tony Lim and Acting Village Head of Kampong Lorong Tiga Selatan Seria Haji Saidin bin Haji Ibrahim presented the awards.
