Three foreign national were detained during an operation dubbed Operasi Sakat 158/2023 targeting the fence construction project of the STKRJ Kampong Mumong in the Belait District.
The Immigration and National Registration Department (INRD) conducted the operation.
Two of the detainees were suspected to have committed several offences, such as overstaying in the country after their immigration passes had expired and not working with the original employer.
One foreign national was detained after he was suspected of staying in the Sultanate after the immigration pass expired. Another foreign national was also ordered to assist in an investigation into the hiring of immigration offenders. – Rokiah Mahmud
