The three-day Muara Beach Festival, a joint effort by the Mukim Serasa and Mukim Mentiri Consultative Councils and the Brunei-Muara District Office, kicked off yesterday.
Legislative Council member and Mukim Lumapas Penghulu Yang Berhormat Amran bin Haji Maidin officiated the event as the guest of honour.
The festival began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by an archery session to mark the official launch.
The guest of honour then toured the various activity areas, including the archery range, food and drink stalls as well as the glamping site. The glamping site drew both local and international campers, particularly from Sabah, Malaysia.
Committee members from both mukim consultative councils and officials from the Brunei-Muara District Office were also present at the event. – Lyna Mohamad
