Some three foreign nationals were arrested during two recent operations by law enforcers of the Immigration and National Registration Department (INRD) in Brunei-Muara and Belait districts.
An inspection on a light truck that collected used goods in a residential area of Mukim Gadong ‘A’ led to the arrest of two foreign nationals for overstaying in the Sultanate.
In addition, they were believed to be working for someone other than the employer in a capacity that did not match the information on their passports.
Meanwhile, one foreign national was arrested at a stall in Mukim Belait, during an inspection on 16 foreign nationals for failing to present valid documents and found working under a visit pass. – Azlan Othman
