His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam will attend the coronation ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, as well as the Royal Banquet on July 20 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The attendance of Their Majesties to the historic coronation ceremony is upon the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, which was personally presented to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on June 25 at Istana Nurul Iman. An official reply from His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to attend the coronation ceremony was then presented by Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar on July 10 at Istana Negara. The long-standing relations between His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim can be seen through a series of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty the Duli Raja Isteri’s previous visits to Johor, among others, the coronation ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim as the fifth Sultan and sovereign ruler of the state and territory of Johor Darul Ta’zim on March 23, 2015 and Johor Royal Wedding Ceremonies; courtesy visits by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim to Brunei Darussalam; and the conferment ceremonies of state decorations.
