Their Majesties receive in audience RTAF chief, spouse

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on Thursday received in audience Chief of Defence Forces, Royal Thai Armed Forces (RTAF) General Songwit Noonpackdee. The Audience Ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.

Accompanying General Songwit Noonpackdee were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam Boosara Kanchanalai, and senior officials from the RTAF.

Meanwhile, in a separate audience, Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam also received in audience the spouse of Chief of Defence Forces, RTAF Mrs Panyada Noonpackdee.

Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Thailand have established diplomatic relations since 1984, marking 40 years of bilateral relations between the two countries. The close relations between both countries have been further strengthened through various regional and international platforms such as ASEAN, the United Nations (UN) and the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). Defence and military activities conducted include courses, exchanges of visits, meetings and exercises, as well as through multilateral platforms particularly under the ambit of the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM).
