His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam left Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Sunday after attending the coronation ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and a royal banquet at Istana Negara on Saturday.
Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty were members of the royal family.
His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim was present to bid farewell to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty.
State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned recited Doa Selamat prior to departure.
On Saturday evening, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty and members of the royal family attended a royal banquet held in conjunction with the coronation ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty were greeted on arrival at Istana Negara by Malaysian Minister of Communications Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty then joined a group photograph session with His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia; His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain; Their Royal Highnesses the Raja-Raja and the Raja-Raja Permaisuri; Yang Di-Pertua Negeri and Toh Puan-Toh Puan; and Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim and spouse Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Azizah Dr Wan Ismail.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri together with His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah then proceeded to the banquet hall for the royal banquet.
The royal banquet began with the recitation of Doa Selamat by religious officer at the Istana Negara Datuk Haji Munir bin Haji Md Salleh. The event featured traditional Malaysian orchestra performances.
