Youth from the Belait District yesterday completed a workshop to learn how to make modern cakes and pastries loved by locals in an effort to develop entrepreneurial skills among young people.
Some recipes and techniques taught included egg tarts, fluffy tarts, cashew biscuits and coconut milk meringue cake, said workshop supervisor Haji Mohd Amiruldini bin Muhd Nasiruddin.
President of the Belait Youth Association (PEMBELA) Atikah Rumaizah binti Dr Haji Harun congratulated the 24 participants for completing the workshop and hopes they will put their newfound skills to create business opportunities, as well as share with friends and family.
