As a loyal subscriber, it saddens me to know that Kristal Astro Sdn Bhd will permanently cease its business operations on March 31.
With the fast changing technology trends causing a huge shift in consumer preferences towards digital media con-sumption, it is understandable that Kristal Astro has come to a fork in the road that had forced them to come up with the difficult decision.
With almost every household in Brunei now owning a TV Box, maybe its time for Kristal Astro to take it to the next level by offering broadband subscription on top of the usual base packages. That way, subscribers can enjoy both Astro programmes and online shows in one platform. Consumers would always choose convenience over anything else especially those less tech-savvy ones who are not familiar with streaming videos, movies and TV shows.
I would just like to extend my appreciation to Kristal Astro for providing entertainment to our homes for the past 21 years. If there’s any way Kristal Astro would make a comeback, I will be among the first to subscribe.
