BANGKOK (BERNAMA) – Thailand is set to welcome 2025 with major countdown celebrations across Bangkok and other provinces featuring spectacular fireworks displays and performances by top local and international artists on New Year’s Eve.
Internationally renowned Thai artiste Lalisa ‘Lisa’ Manoban of Blackpink will headline the countdown at ICONSIAM in Bangkok, BamBam, a Thai rapper, singer and member of the South Korea-based boy band Got7, will perform at the Amazing Chiang Mai Countdown 2025.
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said the Amazing Thailand Countdown 2025 events in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, nationwide celebrations, underscore Thailand’s position as a global festival destination.
The celebrations aim to spread New Year’s cheer throughout the country, featuring fireworks at Hua Hin Beach and cultural festivities in provinces such as Chaiyaphum, Udon Thani and Hat Yai.
“By prioritising sustainable tourism and showcasing the unique strengths of each region, we aim to enhance visitor experiences, boost tourism spending, and drive economic growth,” she said in a statement yesterday.
Thapanee projects the Amazing Thailand Countdown 2025 events in Bangkok and across the country to generate THB62 billion in tourism revenue and attract 1.56 million international visitors during the holiday period.
Other countdown venues across Thailand include Siam Paragon’s ‘The Magical Celebration’ in Bangkok, Pattaya Countdown 2025, Chiang Rai Countdown 2025, Chang Arena Countdown 2025 in Buriram and Hat Yai Countdown 2025 in Songkhla.
