The Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam organised an activity with the students of Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam yesterday, in conjunction with the birthday anniversary celebration of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuha on July 28.
Thai Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Boosara Kanchanalai and the Thai community in the Sultanate participated in the activity.
Pusat Ehsan Executive Trustee Pengiran Datin Hajah Noraini binti Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin and Pusat Ehsan Senior Trustee Dato Paduka Haji Alimin bin Haji Abdul Wahab were also present.
Prior to the event, the ambassador toured the facilities. The event also saw a performance by the students and presentation of Thai food and delicacies to the centre’s students and staff.
The Thai Embassy and the Thai community have continuously contributed and supported Pusat Ehsan’s fund raising activities, including a donation of a treadmill and sports equipment in May 2019, participation in Pusat Ehsan Charity Bazaar in April 2019 and Talent Festival Charity Concert in November 2019. In addition, the embassy also joined the Pusat Ehsan Charity Walk, Run and Cycle in June 2021, donated cash to support the centre’s initiatives to build a surau and participated in activities in conjunction with a celebration of the birthday anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana on June 3 and the centre’s Gala Night Charity in November 2022. – Rokiah Mahmud
