Sixty-four students from five schools – Chung Hua Middle School Kuala Belait, Chung Ching Middle School, St James’ School, Pertama School and St George’s School – participated in the Beaver International Computational Competition 2023 organised by Teachmeguru Tuition.
The competition was held at each school and concluded on Tuesday. The competition comprised six categories including Pre-Ecolier, Ecolier, Benjamin, Cadet, Junior and Student. It aimed to expose students to higher-order thinking problems allowing them to apply their acquired knowledge in accordance to their levels.
The competition aimed to facilitate inference-type questions that help students enhance their computational competency.
The competition is one of several initiatives designed to equip students with the skills needed to excel in assessments like Programme for International Student Assessment and psychometric evaluations. – Rokiah Mahmud
