Temporary closure of selected petrol stations for inspection

Several petrol stations in the Brunei-Muara and Belait Districts will undergo temporary closures this April to facilitate inspection and verification works by the Industry and Business Ecosystem Division (IBE) through the Weights and Measures Unit (SDT) under the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE).

The closures, scheduled from 9:00am to 11:00am, will allow the SDT Unit to conduct its routine verification of accuracy readings on fuel dispensing pumps, in accordance with the Weights and Measures Act 1983, Chapter 151. The Act requires all weighing and measuring equipment used for trading purposes to be registered and regularly checked for accuracy.
