    Temporary closure of selected petrol stations

    The Industry and Business Ecosystem Division through the Weights and Measures Unit (SDT) under the Ministry of Finance and Economy will conduct verification checks on fuel dispensing pumps at various stations in line with the Weights and Measures Act 1983, Chapter 151.

    Several fuel stations will be closed from 9am to 11am or until completion, with the whole process estimated to take two hours. The routine inspection is conducted three times a year.

    The fuel stations in Brunei-Muara District include Syarikat Stesen Minyak Persatuan TIBA on March 6, Syarikat Stesen Minyak IBA on March 8, Syarikat Stesen Minyak Pekan Muara on March 10, Syarikat Stesen Minyak Amanah on March 11, Syarikat Stesen Minyak Gadong on March 12, Syarikat Stesen Minyak Koperasi Usahajaya Pekira Bhd on March 13, Syarikat Stesen Minyak Hajah Badariah dan Anak-Anak on March 15 and Syarikat Stesen Minyak Shahryza on March 17.

    For the Belait District, the fuel stations are Syarikat Stesen Minyak Roxana on March 19 and Syarikat Stesen Minyak Koperasi Perniagaan dan Perusahaan Melayu on March 20.

    Meanwhile, the fuel stations in Tutong District include Syarikat Stesen Minyak KODRAT Berhad (Koperasi Dataran Gong Tiga) on March 24 and Syarikat Stesen Minyak Perusahaan Cahaya Pakatan Berhad on March 25.

    The stipulated guidelines under the Act require all weighing and measuring machines used for trading purposes to be checked for their accuracy and validity, and whether the machines have been registered with the SDT Unit. – James Kon
