A number of petrol stations will be closed for several hours during routine inspections by the Weights and Measures Unit (SDT) to verify the accuracy of fuel dispensing pumps in October.

The inspection process will begin at 9am, and estimated to take between two to three hours on the following dates:

October 10 – KOPEKLAP Petrol Station Lubok Pulau Tutong and Riverine Petrol Station in the Brunei-Muara District; October 11 – Masjory Petrol Station; October 12 – Bebatik Kilanas Petrol Station and Telisai Petrol Station; October 13 – Mabohai Petrol Station; October 17 – Koperasi Perniagaan dan Perusahaan Melayu Berhad Petrol Station; October 19 – Koperasi Ikatan Teluk Mewah Mentiri; and October 31 – Syarikat Sepakat Petrol Station in Kuala Belait.

The inspections are conducted in accordance with Chapter 151 of the Weights and Measures Act 1983.

The Act requires all weighing and measuring machines used for trading purposes to be checked for their accuracy and validity, and whether the machines have already been registered with the SDT.

The routine inspection is conducted three times a year.
