The construction of Sultan Hassan Secondary School reached completion on January 23 and can accommodate up to 1,200 students, said Acting Principal Helmy bin Haji Abdul Rahman.

He said at present, the school has over 700 students.

He made these remarks at a ceremony to mark the completion of the rebuilding of the school yesterday, attended by Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh as the guest of honour.

Helmy said the school features a 21st Century concept, where the learning space for educational purposes is equipped with rooms for special needs students.

Organised by the Ministry of Education (MoE) through the Department of Planning and Estate Management, the ceremony was held at the school’s multi-purpose hall. The rebuilding of the school was in line with a long-term plan and the MoE’s intention to provide a more conducive and quality educational infrastructure under the 11th National Development Plan.
