Temburong school celebrates excellence

Sultan Hassan Secondary School (SMSH) in the Temburong District recently held an academic award presentation to fete students who excelled in the recent ‘O’ Level and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations.

Temburong District Cluster 1 officer Yusnani binti Ampuan Haji Yusof was among the attendees.

Deputy principal Ziad bin Haji Kula in a speech congratulated the students, especially those who obtained at least a credit in five or more subjects, and highlighted the challenges faced by the students during school closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hanif Bazli bin Norfadilah received the Highest Achieving Student Award while Ahmad Abdul Halim bin Haji Md Yamin received a Special Mention for Combined Science.

Siti Nor Mauludinah Batrishya binti Haji Azmirol, meanwhile, received the Principal’s Award.

Student representative Airenitha Sarahwahyu binti Solaiman expressing gratitude, acknowledged the teachers’ efforts, guidance and sacrifices while reflecting on the challenges and joys throughout their time at the secondary school.
