Progresif Sdn Bhd participated in the 19th National Youth Day celebration at the International Convention Centre in Berakas yesterday.
Progresif Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hajah Nurul Haniah binti Haji Jaafaar presented a commemorative plaque to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The gesture reaffirmed the company’s commitment to embrace cashless innovation through Progresif Ding!. The company’s newly launched feature, integrated into Progresif Care+, exemplifies its belief in youth-led innovation.
The solutions, developed in-house, leverage the creativity and ingenuity of Progresif’s predominantly young workforce, who are reshaping the business landscape with their forward-thinking approaches.
“The spirit of youth-led innovation thrives on challenging conventional norms and finding unique solutions to longstanding challenges,” said the CEO.
“At Progresif, we believe that empowering young minds to think differently is key to driving transformative change. By encouraging unconventional approaches and fostering a culture of creativity and resilience, we are not only enhancing our own business but also setting a new standard for innovation in the Sultanate. Progresif Ding! is a prime example of how youth-led creativity can transform everyday practices and contribute to the broader goal of creating a digitally advanced and forward-thinking society.”
At the event, Progresif showcased Progresif Ding! to His Majesty and members of the royal family, highlighting its potential to enhance everyday money management, particularly for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including youth entrepreneurs.
Progresif Ding! provides an easy-to-use platform for transaction tracking and customer engagement, eliminating the need to store, protect, withdraw, and deposit physical cash. This ensures safer, more convenient, and secure transactions.
Users can activate their wallets without a bank account.
Progresif also invited Erti Kafe, a Ding! merchant, to the booth. Erti Kafe Co-founder Ajai shared his experiences, stating, “Ding! has made our payment process faster and easier, which has improved how we run our business and enhanced the experience for our Progresif customers.” He also emphasised that Progresif’s support has been instrumental in scaling their operations and establishing a strong foundation for growth, thereby fostering a cashless culture in the community.
