SINGAPORE (CNA) – A 14-year-old girl and her 84-year-old grandfather were found dead in two separate locations in Bukit Batok, Singapore on Thursday.
The police said yesterday they were alerted to a case of unnatural death along Bukit Batok West Avenue 6 on June 23 at about 5.50pm.
A 14-year-old girl was found lying motionless at the foot of the block and was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.
“Based on the preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play,” they said.
The police were later alerted to another case of unnatural death in a residential unit along Bukit Batok Street 31 at about 5.55pm on the same day.
An 84-year-old man was found lying motionless with chest wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it first received a call for assistance at about 5.55pm at Block 115, Bukit Batok West Avenue 6.
About five minutes later, the SCDF received another call for assistance at Block 363, Bukit Batok Street 31.
The teenager was the granddaughter of the 84-year-old man and both of them were residing in the same unit before their deaths, said the police, adding that they are investigating if the two cases were linked.
