Tedarus ceremony in Tutong for MoHA workforce

The Tutong District Office, in cooperation with RPN Kampong Bukit Beruang Mosque Takmir Committee, held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony for mukim and village consultative councils as well as the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) workforce for Tutong District at the mosque yesterday, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.

Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong led the MoHA delegation.

Legislative Council (LegCo) members, acting Tutong District officer, and permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretary, acting deputy permanent secretary and heads of departments at the ministry also attended.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Tahlil and Doa Selamat, led by Mosque Affairs Officer of RPN Kampong Bukit Beruang Mosque Imam Muhd Aisamuddin bin Haji Selaman.

The event saw the presentation of an air blower and water jet as endowment from the minister to Imam Muhd Aisamuddin, and donations to 30 orphans from the RPN Kampong Bukit Beruang. The ceremony was one of the ministry’s programmes to strengthen ties between the ministry and grassroots leaders as well as residents of mukims and villages in Tutong District.

It was also an annual religious activity to seek blessings and rewards during Ramadhan.

The MoHA delegation will continue the ceremony in other districts.
