Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) personnel attended the Tedarus Al-Quran opening for Ramadhan 1446 Hijrah at the Istana Nurul Iman surau on Sunday.
Commander of the RBAF Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan and Acting Commissioner of Police at the RBPF Dato Seri Pahlawan Sulaiman bin Alidin were in attendance. The event began with the mass Isyak prayer followed by Sunnat Tarawih prayer and Doa led by Begawan Pehin Khatib Haji Mat Jaya bin Haji Ibrahim and continued with a religious talk on ‘Fadhilat Al-Quran’.
The Tedarus Al-Quran continued with Surah Al-Baqarah and concluded with Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The event aimed to enhance worship and religious activities during Ramadhan.
Officers and staff the Immigration and National Registration Department, Prisons Department, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Fire and Rescue Department, religious officers and teachers were also present. – Lyna Mohamad
