The Ministry of Health (MoH) held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony yesterday along with the recitation of Tahlil and Doa Arwah. This was followed with the presentation of donations to orphans at Surau As’Salam of Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah (PMMPMHAMB) Hospital in Tutong District.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar was present as the guest of honour. Seven orphans who are children of staff from the PMMPMHAMB were also presented with donations after the Tedarus ceremony.
In attendance at the ceremony was Acting Director General of Health and Medical Services at the MoH Pengiran Dr Haji Mohd Khalifah bin Pengiran Haji Ismail and other officials.
The Tedarus ceremony is one of the annual religious events held to enliven the month of Ramadhan and to foster closer ties among staff of MoH and staff of PMMPMHAMB Hospital.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) its departments and mukim and village consultative councils (MPMK) yesterday held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony at Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah Mosque in Tutong District.
Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman was present along with officials of the MoHA and its departments.
The event also saw the minister hand over donations to orphans and Waqaf of electrical appliances to Imam Pengiran Ali Hanafiah bin Pengiran Haji Timbang before concluding it with mass Asar prayers.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony at the Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque, Kampong Sengkarai.
Deputy Minister (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw was the guest of honour.
The event began with the presentation of Waqaf to Imam (Grade One) Abdul Hafiy bin Yahya.
This proceeded with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the recitation of Al-Quran.
The ceremony was also enlivened with Tahlil and Doa Arwah for the deceased and followed with the breaking of fast and mass Maghrib prayer.
The next venue for the series of Tedarus Al-Quran is scheduled to take place at Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in the Belait District tomorrow.
