Meanwhile in a later tip-off, seasoned player Lim Liang Wei spearheaded Yi’s Nation x Propel to victory with a 27-point haul. Esmund Tan Ka Horng also posted double figures with 14 points to his name.

The popular basketball competition will commence tonight with the Low San Veteran semifinals as TK Tea House meet Ra’kin Design, while ACCG and Concepts Computer will contest the other tie. The competition, which made a comeback after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, entered the knockout stages following a group stage.

TK Tea House and Fateh Sdn Bhd ensured their progress from Group ‘A’ while Yi’s Nation x Propel and Pegasus in Group ‘B’ advanced to the last eight phase.

Last Ride and GKL secured their quarterfinal berths after escaping unscathed in Group ‘C’ while Propel x Yi’s Nation and D’Barkadz from Group ‘D’ completed the quarterfinal line-up.

The Men’s Open category will resume with the semifinal rounds tomorrow for a place in the title decider next Friday.
