Team Concepts Computer on Monday night secured their spot in the semifinal of the veteran category of the Low San Basketball Tournament, after cruising to a 68-51 win against team GHK.
Jauhali had an impressive performance for Concepts Computer, contributing 25 points – including three three-pointers, while his compatriot Stugbo scored 14 points. Liu Kun Shyong scored 11 points for GHK.
Despite missing two big men, Emin Poljarevic and Yahya Nanhock, GHK put up a good fight in the first half, thanks to superior shooting performance.
Both teams were locked at 30 points a piece by the interval. However, Concepts Computer pulled away in the third quarter after securing more fast break points.
Putting up a great defensive, Concepts Computer also limited GHK’s offence to scoring only four points in the whole third quarter to widen the lead.
Carrying on the momentum, Team Concepts Computer continued to dominate in the fourth quarter to take the crucial win.
In another match up, Linktech Basketball were forced to forfeit their match due to insufficient players, turning up at the match up against Ra Kin team.
Team Concepts Computer will face ACCG team in the semifinal at 8.30pm, while in the other semifinal game, team TK Tea House will tip off against Team Menglait Group at 7pm on December 4.
