Teamwork is the key driver to success, said Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) Chief Executive Officer Jesús Enrique Mora Marín, noting that, “Our success is built on a foundation of strong teamwork.”
He said this during a company-wide team-building event at Tarindak D’Seni recently.
The event, which aimed to strengthen interdepartmental teamwork and communication skills, saw participation from employees across all levels of the company, who were divided into four houses – red, green, blue and yellow.
This encouraged cross-departmental collaboration and created a deeper understanding of the different functions within the company and their collective role in achieving BMC’s vision of becoming the world-class methanol supplier of choice.
The activities encouraged participants to step out of their comfort zones, with each challenge designed to test strategic thinking, communication, time management, conflict resolution and leadership skills; as they engaged in carnival-style activities to test problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. – Daniel Lim
